I am hoping for the best, expecting the worst here. However if foreigners could create their own I-PIN then that would be fantastic. I will believe it when I see it though.

Seems like Tower Bridge zones are really bugged. Just like you the game froze on load every time I tried to load it with very high quality textures. After changing to high quality the first zone loaded fine. Last two were lacking most of the floors and walls, and the new boss was also invisible. I really hope they fix that soon.

I can't get into those zones...it's why for now I stopped playing. Had an infinite loading screen due to background DL, game crashed. Played the next day, game crashed after entering the new area, 3rd time i tried the game got an ils when loading the 3rd tower area...meh...just pissed me off and i /ragequit for abit. Also my sub is about to expire so I tihnk I will renew it come dec when I have more money.

Ugh... yeah that's one thing I haven't really put enough emphasis on:

- The background downloader sucks for delivering completely new tile sets and maps. That place takes forever to load, crashes when it does load, often loads with invisible floors/walls/etc, often has invisible monsters, and man... it's just a total mess.


Much of the Second Invasion uses recycled graphics with different textures, so the loading isn't as nearly as bad. The London Bridge area is however, a different story. The fact that it's the only area with anything genuinely new tells me that both the background downloader and Red Butt's mastery of making new content for the game is piss-poor. Hell, even the game's project manager has admitted it on the Hanbit blog.

Sadly, I had this feeling. But didn't report this.

I ran into strange errors while trying to build up accounts for others. This was happening pre the date even listed.

I think 9/22/09* was when they switched over to the new authentication service. There was a news update on that day regarding "Woodrew Anderson III Authentication Update".

At the time when I read it, it didn't seem like a big problem. They seem to on a bi-weekly basis take down some kind of payment service to do maintenance. But evidently, Woodrew's more than just an accountant computer with a nerdy name.

*But for you and me, since we're in Columbus... that would have been September 21, since Korea is a day ahead of us.

Yar. This system was already in place before that, by at least 10 days. I know that much tho :/ I received messages relating to this prior to that date. ^^

@Dar:- Goodness... I guess that would then explain why virtually nobody managed to get through when I first found out how to make an account. I must have made mine pretty close to when they changed the whole thing.


Hmm... StormPuma21 Says That It's Still Possible to Make One?

I'll try to speak to StormPuma21 in game and find out if he managed to actually get a full account or if he's just mistaken and got a kiddy account. I would just make an account on Hellforge, but let's just say I have no feelings of attachment to that place.

If he/you figure out a new way, please PM me or just create an account and let me know.

After doing some semi-extensive testing I am almost positive that he's only managed to create a kiddy account. The only way I was able to get to the registration page was with ones that were under 20 years old. All others gave me the 6 options to choose from that are part of the new security features.

Just to follow up on this - I talked to the guy in question in game, and sure enough, he only managed to make a kiddy account.

Yes I died a little inside when I realised there was no way I was going to be able to subscribe and thus it makes even registering a younger accouont pointless. Ah well, at least I've got the SP patch and the 1.0(stable) is comming out on scheduel.

While I have to admit that there's a lot in the 1.0 patch that makes it superior to the Korean MP server (since partying up is very sparse on there, and they are still missing a lot of stuff), it's still understandable. After all, Stone Henge is still something we became very used to having....

Stonehinge, The Wilds. I miss it all man lol. I think I'll get my fix soon enough though

I really miss the graveyard in Abyss. Nothing like full-bore zombie killing

Lets hope it does work for you. I am having issues with getting the english files to download.

Here is my problem.
-I took all the steps to download and update the client.
-I renamed the proper .idx and .dat files and copied the ones from the english install into my HGL data folder.
-For some reason the language.dat file does not install with the game so I created one with Language=English in it and saved that to my HGL data folder.
-Now when I attempt to log in it gives me a network error of 'The Handle is Invalid'

I have tried reinstalling and I have had absolutly no luck. If anyone knows anything that would help me here I would be grateful.

well it sounds like it's saying username is invalid. since handle=username from my experience.

Well I know the user name is valid since I used it to log in and update the client. I can also still login to the hanbit hellgate site using it.

On another note. I solved the problem of a language.dat not installing (reinstalled for the 3rd time) however now I get the network error cannot connect to the server. I am hoping that this is only because of server maintenance.
